GIS Services and Equipment

CMRPC utilizes GIS software developed by Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) on a Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP platform for all data creation, data management, spatial analysis and map production. Coordinate Geometry (COGO) and Global Positioning System (GPS) technologies are used frequently for GIS data development. For data analysis that calls for raster (grid-based) GIS, we use Idrisi, which has allowed us to develop a regional Development Suitability Model (DSM).

CUSTOM MAPPING:
Sizes range from 8 1/2" x 11" maps to 3' x 4' maps, black & white or color.
