Take the Regional Heat Resiliency Plan & Regional Waste Action Plan Surveys
Central Massachusetts Regional Heat Resiliency Plan Survey
The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) is proud to announce the launch of a community-wide survey, for the region’s first Regional Heat Resiliency Plan. Residents, businesses, and local organizations are invited to actively participate in shaping our region’s response to extreme heat events.
“As temperatures continue to rise, the urgency of addressing the challenges of extreme heat becomes increasingly more critical”, said Janet Pierce, CMRPC Executive Director, “the Central Massachusetts Regional Heat Resiliency Plan is a collaborative effort aimed at developing strategies to protect the region’s well-being during intensifying extreme heat occurrences.”
The public’s insights are valued and encouraged, complete the brief survey for CMRPC to better understand our region’s needs. The survey can be accessed online: https://bit.ly/centralmassheatplansurvey
This public survey asks participants about their experiences with extreme heat events and how extreme heat events impact their personal health, their families, and their community. This survey also asks participants to pinpoint locations in the region that may offer a cooler environment in the event of extreme heat, or locations which may leave people especially vulnerable or exposed to the heat.
